Chateau de Loei vineyard, Phu Reua, Loei. Thailand.
The Chateau de Loei vineyard is near Phu Reua and covers 240 acres. Chateau de Loei produced Thailand’s first premium wine that is now exported to Japan and Europe, it was founded in 1995 by Dr. Chaijudh Karnasuta.
The vineyard is open to visitors from 9.30 am until 7.30 pm. The front car park has a large shop that sells the wine from the vineyard and also a large selection of locally made or grown goods, a great stop for souvenir shopping.
Directly behind the store is a road leading to the vineyard and the winery. Visitors are welcome to look around both. At the winery entry is permitted in restricted areas with an adjacent room for free wine tasting and retailing of the wines produced here. They have red, white and rose wines for sale here.
This is a popular tourist destination and provides a great opportunity to taste some great Thai wine and buy some locally handmade or grown goods.
